SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
Take a look at some of the Charities and Foundations that SMT is proud to support. We have raised over $150,000 for these two Mississippi hospitals. At SMT, giving back to our community is a part of our culture. Each transaction made at SMT, a portion of that goes to these two foundations. We are always looking for new opportunities to give back. We participate in local sports donations as well as churches. If there is a local Mississippi foundational opportunity you believe we should take part in, please reach out to us and let us know. Giving back is the foundation of our company.
In 2021, SMT was able to gift The Children's of Mississippi Hospital with two pediatric rooms. It was such an honor to tour and learn about the impact our donations were able to make for the children of Mississippi. These doctors, nurses, and boards truly took the best practices and created a top tier opportunity for the children in need of our state. We are humbled to be a part of this experience. In the future, SMT has agreed to help grow the future of the hospital by donating to create a new and bigger space for their cancer treatment rooms.
In 2022, SMT was able to elevate the CPR experience in an ambulance ride for our local hospital. SMT purchased two new compression machines for paramedics. Wayne General gave us the opportunity to see these new devices and share with us what the devices can accomplish. These devices create new and improved gateways for saving lives and we are honored to be a part of that growth and opportunity in our community. In the future, SMT plans to continue to help Wayne General grow. We are dedicated to creating new pediatric practices and rooms for the hospital's future.
